Charming, traditional and classy - Gstaad is located in the stunning alpine scenery in the German-speaking part of the Canton of Bern in southwestern Switzerland.
The small town, which has a very laid-back atmosphere, has a population of about 7,600 and is located 1,050 metres (3,445 feet) above sea level. The region is not only known for its popularity amount the high society, but it is known for its various top events. One of them is the Swatch Beach Volleyball Major Gstaad.
In 2019, the popular tournament celebrated its 20th anniversary. The organizing committee, supported by many volunteers, will once again provide an unforgettable week for players and guests. Gstaad will for sure prove to be – as always – a terrific host city for the international Beach Volleyball elite from July 6th to 11th 2021.
